Special Commission for Sort of Coal
Special commission for Sort of Coal by Anton Funck, made using excess unused fabrics from various sources.
A few months ago, we approached Anton, a friend and artist in Copenhagen, with an idea to commission a a special piece for us. He had recently launched his career as an artist, spontaneously using found and discarded fabrics to create beautiful embroideries; rich in story and in depth.
His approach and almost child-like genius of pairing colors really spoke to us, so we gave him full control to come up with something that is reminiscent of nature in the area of Japan where we make our binchotan: Wakayama.
